Overview
Azashine 300mg Tablet is prescribed by the doctor to treat blood related cancers as well as syndromes. It mainly treats myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in adults, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Azashine Tablet contains azacitidine as its active salt. The salt inhibits DNA methyltransferase enzymes causing hypomethylation, reactivates silenced tumor suppressor genes.
This disrupts nucleic acid/protein synthesis in rapidly proliferating abnormal cells.This medication also boosts normal cell production as well as promotes apoptosis to self-kill cancer cells.
