Overview

Arimidex 1mg Tablet is an adjuvant therapy prescribed by the doctor after surgery, for advanced Breast Cancer, or to prevent cancer reoccurrence in high risk patients. This medication also serves as first or second line endocrine therapy in postmenopausal women.

Arimidex 1mg Tablet contains Anastrozole that belong to a class of aromatase enzyme inhibitor. It blocks the aromatase enzyme that is responsible for estrogen production in the body, giving nourishment to cancer cell for growth. Aromatase blockage reduces estrogen production. As a result, cancer cells starve and ultimately leads to death.
