Tenof EM Tablet (Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and Emtricitabine)

Tenof EM Tablet is an antiviral medication that is used to fight against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection. It contains fixed dose combination of two antiviral salts, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and Emtricitabine.Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme by acting as DNA chain terminator.

Thus preventing conversion of viral DNA to human DNA. Together, these drugs inhibit the functioning of the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme that is responsible for viral replication. As a result, it reduces the viral load in the body as well as improves the immune function to fight against the virus.
