Maviret 100mg/40mg Tablet (Glecaprevir + Pibrentasvir) contains Glecaprevir 100mg + Pibrentasvir 40mg per tablet. Combination therapy for HCV genotypes 1–6 in eligible patients, including selected treatment-experienced patients. Glecaprevir inhibits HCV NS3/4A protease needed for viral polyprotein processing; pibrentasvir inhibits NS5A-dependent replication and assembly.
Before treatment, assess HCV RNA, prior therapy, cirrhosis status, hepatitis B markers, other medicines and relevant liver and kidney tests. Cure is generally assessed by undetectable HCV RNA at least 12 weeks after completion (SVR12). Viral clearance does not remove the need for liver cancer surveillance in patients with cirrhosis. 100mg/40mg is PER TABLET, not the adult daily dose. Three tablets together with food are required.

Combination therapy for HCV genotypes 1–6 in eligible patients, including selected treatment-experienced patients. Treatment selection is based on HCV genotype where relevant, cirrhosis stage, prior antiviral exposure, coinfections and potential drug interactions. Before Maviret 100mg/40mg treatment, assess HCV RNA, prior therapy, cirrhosis status, hepatitis B markers, other medicines and relevant liver and kidney tests. Cure is generally assessed by undetectable HCV RNA at least 12 weeks after completion (SVR12). Viral clearance does not remove the need for liver cancer surveillance in patients with cirrhosis.
How Maviret Tablet Works
Maviret 100mg/40mg Tablet functions by acting on two proteins necessary for the growth and reproduction of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). The tablet contains two drugs known as glecaprevir and pibrentasvir, which inhibit two different proteins of the viral life cycle. Glecaprevir acts by inhibiting HCV NS3/4A protease whereas pibrentasvir inhibits HCV NS5A protein. Inhibition of these proteins causes cessation of virus multiplication hence clearance of the infection. The tablet must be taken in accordance with your doctor’s instructions for the recommended treatment period.
