Lenvenib 4mg Capsule (Lenvatinib)

Lenvenib 4mg Capsule contains lenvatinib, an oral multi-kinase inhibitor that blocks VEGF receptors and several other signaling pathways involved in tumor blood-vessel formation and growth. It is used in selected patients with differentiated thyroid cancer, renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma and, in combination with pembrolizumab, certain endometrial cancers, depending on the regulatory label and clinical setting.

Lenvatinib 4mg capsules can cause significant hypertension, proteinuria, diarrhea, fatigue, and other toxicities, so careful monitoring is essential. Lenvenib 4mg Capsule is a prescription medicine. Lenvatinib 4mg capsule dosing depends strongly on the indication. Labelled starting doses include 24 mg once daily for differentiated thyroid cancer; 18 mg once daily with everolimus for renal cell carcinoma; 12 mg once daily for hepatocellular carcinoma in patients 60 kg or more and 8 mg once daily if under 60 kg; and 20 mg once daily when used with pembrolizumab for selected endometrial cancer settings. Dose reductions are indication-specific. The 4 mg capsule is therefore a strength, not a universal daily dose.

Administration guidance: Take the Lenvenib 4mg capsule once daily or as specifically prescribed for your indication. Swallow the capsule whole; if swallowing is difficult, follow only the approved product instructions for preparing a suspension. It can generally be taken with or without food and should be taken at approximately the same time each day. Blood pressure must be controlled before starting treatment and checked regularly. Urine protein, thyroid function, liver and kidney function and electrolytes may also require monitoring. The oncologist may interrupt treatment or reduce the dose for significant toxicity. Do not change the dose yourself.

If the next dose is due within 12 hours, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together. Do not repeat a dose after vomiting.

Control blood pressure before treatment and monitor frequently. Monitor urine protein, renal and liver function, thyroid function, calcium/electrolytes, and weight. Consider ECG monitoring in patients at risk of QT prolongation. Assess wound healing around surgery.
