Overview

Acriptega Tablet is a fixed dose combination of three antiviral drugs. It is composed of three salts, Dolutegravir (50mg), Lamivudine (300mg) and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (300mg). This antiviral medicine is used to fight against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) that can cause AIDS at later stages. Dolutegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor that blocks HIV integrase enzyme.

Thus, preventing integration of viral DNA into host's genome. Lamivudine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor that mimics the natural nucleoside and get incorporated into virus DNA. As a result, inhibiting virus replication due to default structure. Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme by acting as DNA chain terminator.
